Keegan endorses Shubb Capos and Electrovoice Microphones.

From Keegan:

"I currently use Shubb capos for all my capoing needs. I've found the Shubb to draw a more natural capoed tone as well as to be the most reliable for keeping in tune due to the ability to set a level of pressure for the capo and leave it there for future use. They also make a five-string capo, which I use to play 'Someone Else's Cup.'

I carry around an Electrovoice RE510 for micing my guitar at shows. I can trust it not to feed back in quite loud environments, and it captures a nice richness from the guitar that I find is often lost in condensers.

For live pickup amplification I use a Genz Benz Shenandoah Compak 300.

The guitars used to record Travail were a Breedlove Pro Series D18 and an Ovation Adamas with a graphite top. I also played a Krusa Sonora Baritone for the track "Sandcastles" which was brought in by the luthier, Kipp Krusa, who was kind enough to bring it in for the session.

The Breedlove and Ovation are strung with a mix of medium and light Elixer Nanoweb strings, and the Breedlove is currently installed with a Baggs Element undersaddle pickup."
